With the economy steadily recovering, many industries have seen increases in hiring, including the healthcare industry.
One company that has been increasing its work force is the Boston-based Best Doctors Inc., a virtual healthcare benefits provider, according to the Connecticut Post.
"We've been hiring a lot of nurses, sales and marketing people, IT and other support staff - 106 in 2010," Evan Falchuk, the company's chief strategy officer and president, told the news source, "and we're continuing our hiring this year."
The healthcare hiring gains are not limited to the northeast however, as the news provider reports that El Paso, Texas-based Bauer Consulting Group's healthcare division has experienced revenue growth.
"Home health is growing a lot because of Medicare and Medicaid coverage, and the aging population," John Fulcher, the division's recruiting director, told the Post. "Orders for hospice support, such as case managers, and directors of inpatient hospice, home care and outpatient services are rising."
The Sacramento Bee reports that an analysis of job listings conducted by California's Employment Development Department revealed that healthcare companies occupied the top three spots on the list of most job advertisements in February.
