In many parts of the country, firms are stepping up hiring efforts during the summer months to meet added demand.
In Wisconsin, there are more jobs available for those in the construction, manufacturing and hospitality industry according to the state's Department of Workforce Development, the Post-Crescent reports.
In an interview with the source, Department of Workforce Department labor market analyst Jeff Sachse said that much of future hiring would be based on both the tax structure and the level of consumer demand.
"Wisconsin could be one of the better areas of the economy going forward but it really depends on making the tax environment more favorable for employers," he told the paper. "There is a lot of uncertainty in the global markets. Whether the job market is considered sustainable depends on where demand is six months to a year from now."
There are other signs that Wisconsin employers will increase hiring. A recent survey from Manpower Incorporated found that 26 percent of companies asked said they planned to add workers between July and September.
