U.S. Insurance sector on the mend

In a recent survey of insurance companies, agents and brokers, third party administrators and managing general agents, GreatInsuranceJobs.com reports 13,000 open and available jobs in March 2012, plus a projected addition of 27,000 more by the end of 2012.
The report found 31 percent of insurance companies plan to hire 51 or more new agents by the end of the year, and 11 percent of agencies will hire 200 or more new employees in the coming months.
Allstate is one national company that plans to boost employment opportunities across the United States. In recent postings, the insurance agency announced its plan to hire numerous new agents in several of its Southwest locations.
Insurance agency owners in the Albuquerque and Santa Fe areas will employ 11 new agents to help sell new contracts in the region.
Allstate agency owners plan to hire approximately 80 agents in total in New Mexico, Nevada, Oklahoma and Utah in the next few months.
