Oil distributor RelaDyne is growing too large for its current plant in Cincinnati, Ohio.
As the Journal News reported, the move to the city will create between 40 and 50 new jobs through 2020. The current 105 employees will keep their jobs and be relocated to the new facility once the move is complete.
The company is waiting on the completion of two new buildings in Fairfield, where its headquarters will be located. The construction project is estimated to cost $30 million to $33 million. The oil distributor will join others in the building, taking up about 25 percent of the space.
“We look forward to being a part of Fairfield,” said Midwest General Manager Tony Downs. “We have a lot of great people that are looking forward to moving to a new location and we’re just very proud that Fairfield has given us space. We definitely need it very quickly.”
With clients that include Chevron and Shell, the oil distributor is expected to continue growing, which would lead to even more long-term growth and positive benefits for the city, Fairfield director of development services Greg Kathman told Cincinnati USA.
Yearly payroll is anticipated to reach $11,365,000 with the growth and creation of new jobs.
