UPS subsidiary Coyote Logistics announced that it plans to build a 48,000 square foot office in Northeast Atlanta, a move which will create 325 new jobs, according to a press release from the company.
The company, headquartered in Chicago, will work closely with Invest Atlanta and the Georgia Department of Economic Development. Hiring will begin in the fall.
Coyote provides transportation management services to more than 14,000 shippers.
“Just last year, UPS committed to a major regional package operations expansion in Atlanta,” said Georgia Governor Nathan Deal. “Georgia’s programs to provide tax credits for new jobs, and our Quick Start training program helps the brightest in our area prepare for new well-paying career opportunities, like those to be offered by Coyote,” Governor Deal added.
UPS recently made headlines when unveiled a new weekly retention bonus program for package handlers, Louisville Business First reported. According to the rules of the program, employees are eligible for a $150 weekly bonus if they were hired after March 13 for work in UPS’ Ohio Valley District ground operation or if they were hired this year for its Second-Day Air operation.
