(Chesapeake, VA) – The Starfish Group, LLC announced that it has joined MRINetwork, one of the largest executive search and recruitment organizations in the world, as a new affiliate office, in Chesapeake, VA. Led by owner and managing member Casey Shaw, the firm specializes in providing key talent for small and medium-sized defense contractors with a focus on engineering.
“Mr. Shaw comes to MRINetwork with a wealth of knowledge in the defense industry,” says MRINetwork interim president Stuart Batchelor. “His expertise in this space will be a great asset to both our organization and to his clients, in helping them deal with today’s pressing issues of employee attraction and retention.”
Prior to joining MRINetwork, Shaw was employed by UFP Technologies, Inc. for seven years, most recently as the manager of business development for aerospace and defense. He also worked previously as a sales manager at Guilford Mills and served in multiple roles with Collins & Aikman.

In 2013, Shaw founded HuskyStarfish.com to raise awareness and money for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation (SOWF). SOWF is a nonprofit organization that supports the military’s special operations forces and their families through key programs.
