(Ft. Lauderdale) – For the second year running, MRINetwork has announced plans to host its annual United convention virtually. This year’s event, aptly named United Showcase, will run from June 7-11, 2021 and focus on recognizing the amazing talent access professionals that exhibited incredible resilience throughout 2020. MRINetwork’s 300+ international offices saw double digit growth across both direct hire and interim staffing business, leading the global search organization to outperform the industry in 2020.
United Showcase will take on a whole new approach to format, speakers, and structure that promotes peer-to-peer learning. The new, flexible format invites Network participants to register for sessions that best suit their current areas of focus. Instead of a full multi-day commitment, attendees will be able to fully customize their agenda, with no minimum or maximum for their involvement.
Additionally, in place of corporate-led sessions, attendees will hear from award winners and leaders within the Network, including international offices and rising stars who succeeded throughout 2020 with innovative strategies. Scripted lecture-style content will be replaced by live panels, Q&As, roundtables, and breakout rooms further facilitating the sharing of knowledge and experiences among Network members.
Topics range from business-level strategy (building an interim offering; growing a team; driving split business; hiring effectively) to desk-level strategy (understanding data analysis and key metrics). All sessions will be accessible soon through MRI’s learning management system, The PATH®.
“Our Network members are an amazing source of wisdom, insights, and perspectives that we embrace as foundational elements of learning and development at MRI. What better opportunity to leverage this talent than in a showcase format where we hear from the best of the best?” says Nancy Halverson, SVP Global Operations at MRI.
The entire week will be designed to foster learning, connection, and collaboration. In keeping with United’s long tradition of bringing the Network together in a fun, welcoming environment, United Showcase will feature a strong social element — including happy hours that accommodate all time zones. Says Halverson, “We are all ready to come together at the United Showcase to celebrate our achievements over the past 12 months and acquire the new skills and approaches needed to propel our businesses forward in the new World of Work.”
