Recruiting may be a sales job where we pitch candidates to companies, but that doesn’t mean we have to be robots.
Many people try to come up with the perfect script or pitch that will lead to a placement, but they miss the point. A one-size-fits-all approach will never make for long term success because you can’t build trust that way.
The best recruiters know that the job is really about having open-ended conversations, listening for people’s motivation and providing the solution that’s right for both sides. You have to be inquisitive and curious instead of making one static approach work for everyone.
How do you take a more flexible approach to conversation instead of sticking with a static script? How is the construction industry dealing with the remote/hybrid/in-office trilemma?
In this episode, I’m joined by the owner of MRI of Zionsville, Blake Chastain. He shares his story, and the secrets that make his team so successful.
