Food manufacturing company LifeHouse Foods recently announced plans to invest $40 million into the expansion of its Hurricane, Utah-based facility, a project that is expected to create about 165 new jobs, Food Business News reported.
The source added that investing in the manufacturing plant was a decision made in the hopes of improving support for the production of the organization’s sauces, dips and dressings.
Business Facilities reported that the expansion project was necessary in order for LifeHouse, which is based in Idaho, to support the increasing distribution demands across the country.
“Our goal is to continue to add jobs to the communities that have helped us grow into a dominant leader in our industry,” LifeHouse CEO Jim Frank said, according to the source. “We are so pleased to announce our expansion in Hurricane and we look forward to being a strong partner to the community that has been so supportive of LifeHouse.”
The approximately 165 jobs will be added over the next 8 years, Business Facilities noted.
According to the source, LifeHouse is one of two manufacturing companies that recently announced plans to expand in Utah. Electronic Power Systems also said it will be investing over $11 million in Cache County, which will create as many as 128 new jobs.
