“We are very excited to have made the decision to expand our operations in Fort Worth, Texas,” Ryder Vice President and General Manager of Transportation Management Dave Belter said, according to the news source. “We are fortunate to have a facility that supports our current staff, and also allows for easy expansion. Our employees are our most important resource and we have had great success hiring the talent we need from a diverse and well educated labor force.”

The Dallas Business Journal reported that Ryder has had its presence in Fort Worth for more than 15 years and has nearly 350 employees on payroll in the area. Additionally, the source said that Ryder was offered a $1,050,000 Texas Enterprise Fund grant.
