Promoting leadership from within hospitals comes with an array of challenges. A recent survey of hospital leaders published by The HealthCare Initiative, an affiliate of MRINetwork, reveals the primary obstacles to a successful internal promotion is the strain the promotion puts on existing employee relationships as well as the possibility that the new manager might not necessarily make a great leader.
