NCR Sets Its Sights on Africa and the Middle East

NCR Corporation, the Georgia-based maker of electronic kiosks and ATMs, has teamed up with Foresight Technologies to provide data center design consulting services in Africa and the Middle East.

The Atlanta Business Chronicle reports the partnership’s services are aimed at telecom carriers, financial services providers, airlines and retailers in the Middle East and Africa, a market that is projected to be worth $176.5 billion by 2015.

Foresight, which has offices in the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan, and NCR have already completed five projects in the region and are currently working to deign and install cloud test production facilities in the emerging market.

Meanwhile, Gryphon Investors has announced the acquisition of Trinity Consultants, a global company with offices throughout the U.S. China and the Middle East. The funding was provided by Babson Capital.

Rick Spenser, managing director of the mezzanine and private equity group at Babson Capital, said the acquisition will help Trinity realize its significant growth potential.

The Dallas-based Trinity provides consulting services that include industrial air quality issues, staffing assistance, regulatory and data management to a wide range of industries including the aerospace, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and government sectors.

Trinity’s international locations include Hangzhou, China, and Manama, Bahrain.
